3. Application of sprocket

Because there are so many types of sprockets, each loom manufacturer has different requirements and instructions in their adjustment and maintenance manuals.However, the application considerations are similar, with some differences in the specific parameters to be adjusted.Here are some tips for using a sprocket

1) Check the appearance of the sprocket by visual inspection and hand feeling, whether it is smooth, whether there is waste edge, burr and crack.

2) Put the rapier belt on the sprocket to stimulate the running state, and observe whether the tooth surface contact surface is fit.If they don't fit, analyze why.

3) When adjusting, the thickness of the rapier belt must not be higher or lower than the tooth height of the rapier sprocket.Adjust the gap between the rapier and the seat according to the loom manufacturer's instructions until the movement is smooth.The clearance value is too small, the sprocket transmission resistance is large;If it is too large, the belt will jump, affecting the weft delivery and even causing damage to the tip.
